Our Story
The year 2020 will remain a truly historic one, that will not be forgotten in a hurry. It is true that the Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic and global lockdowns was the main highlight but a more subtle but dangerous phenomenon was also – The ONSET OF GLOBAL FAMINE.
Confirmed by the United Nations Security council during a meeting in 2022, the world had been plunged into a global famine more deadly than those of ancient history.
The pandemic accelerated the global famine, in that food systems were interrupted and global food production and supply cycle disrupted in a devastating manner. To make matters worse, the infamous invasion of Ukraine by Russia was the final blow that made food shortages across the world more lethal than we have ever imagined.
The sad truth remains that mainstream media has been gagged to talk less about this global famine while emphasizing food security but today, the increase in food prices by over 100 percent across the world, is an unfortunate but vivid testament to a global famine that so many people who are still unaware of.
MYITA is an acronym which translates as: MULTIPLY YOUR INCOME THROUGH AGRICULTURE (MYITA). As a multipurpose cooperative society, our focus is to mobilize our members and enabling them optimize their financial resources to take on farming as a way of life and business, creating value right from the farm to the dinning table.

MYITA Farmers Multipurpose cooperative society is a community driven and development centric organization with a solid panache for agriculture. We understand through painstaking research that agriculture is the bedrock of meaningful communal growth and the relationship communities share with agriculture will ultimately shape the overall living standards, social wellbeing and economic development.
Going by our name – MYITA – acronym that reads – Multiply Your Income Through Agriculture, we are well founded to provide people with the know-how, tools, equipments, strategies and systems to improved their lives through the direct engagement in the BUSINESS OF AGRICULTURE.
One of our powerful food for thought at MYITA Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative Society is that every human on earth, from the day of birth till the time of their death is directly or indirectly supporting and promoting agriculture and this is evident every time, people spend money on food items which are mainly gotten through Agriculture. Every patronage equals a new reason for farmers and other stakeholders to continue working their fields, producing food for all humanity.
Together, our lives are sustained by the produce from agriculture just as agriculture is sustained by our continuous patronage. In reality, agriculture as we know it today holds far reaching potentials for profitability but many people are yet to identify these opportunities in agriculture as a BUSINESS, talk more of taking advantage of them.
Agriculture remains the oldest business on planet earth and it has the potential to make those involved prosper in ways they least expect.
